Archery is a recognised recreational and competitive sport throughout the Oceania Region.

 

OUR MISSION

World Archery Oceania will provide the leadership and assistance to facilitate the development of archery in all WAO Member Associations.

World Archery Oceania

 

World Archery Oceania (WAO) is recognised by the International Federation, World Archery, as the body representing the sport in the Oceania region.  The World Archery Oceania comprises of all Oceania members in good standing with World Archery plus other organisation who are regional terrorities of other World Archery members. 

 

The role of the World Archery Oceania is to ensure development of the sport in the Oceania region and to provide the infrastructure advice and know-how for member nations to develop the sport. 

 

The members of World Archery Oceania elect the committee every four years.

 

World Archery Oceania conducts a Congress of members every two years.

 

The roles of WAO is to –

 

  • Arrange development opportunities for each of its member nations

  • Represent the region with World Archery 

  • Conduct Continental Championships

  • Organise Olympic Qualifier events

  • Provide development opportunities for continental judges and coaches

  • Ensure each member runs a National Championships annually
