2020 WAO Championships information released

Updated: Jan 21

World Archery Oceania and World Archery Fiji are excited to announce the release of the invitation package for the 2020 WAO championships. The event will be held in Suva, Fiji, 5-9 April, 2020.

The Invitation package can be found here

The WAO championships have been growing in numbers and skill level over the last few editions and this event looks to be no different. Placed in the heart of Suva, at the centrally located Albert park, the event has some new and exciting additions in 2020.

A 720 ranking round now replaces the old 1440 (FITA), Barebow is set to make its debut and a dedicated Finals day is sure to make this one of the best editions yet. Nations looking for an Olympic Quota position will also fight it out for one Male and one Female position for the 2020 Tokyo Games.

WAO Congress will also sit following the Games where the posts of President, Treasurer and newly created, Athlete's rep, will be decided. The local organising committee is hard at work on it's website, which is soon to be released. Be sure to keep your eyes out on WAO Social Media and website to see when this goes live.

Best of luck to all in their preparations and we look forward to seeing you at the Championships.
